Food For Your Nails

Eating a well balanced diet can help you achieve nails that are free from spots, discoloration, brittle and weak. Here is a list of SUPERFOODS that you can consume to help you grow strong and healthy nails.

 

1. Spinach

2. Eggs

3. Flax Seed

4. Turkey

5. Olive Oil

 

Spinach and any other dark leafy greens like kale, arugula, mustard and collard greens are excellent becasue they cintain Folate. Folate is a B Vitamin that helps your body repair and make new cells especially in your skin and nails. So eat those leafy greans ladies, they are good for us in more ways than one.

 

Eggs are good in protein which helps in the production of keratin. Brittle nails are common when you lack amino acids that produce keratin. So if you don't want brittle nails eat foods high in protein: eggs, dairy, fish, beans, and whole grains.

 

Flaxseeds are an easy and great way to add to salads, smoothies, and more. Flaxseeds are an amazing food because they provide omega-3 fatty acids which contain natural hydrating properties to moisturize your nails. SO eat, eat, eat, and add flaxseeds to your meal.

 

Turkey, now most people think turkey and they think sleepy, thanksgivng like coma but turkey is great for our nails because it provides a great amount of iron. So if you have nails that break easily or that look a lil pale in color, you may be needing some iron.

 

Ok, so who doesn't already use olive oil?! I mean if your not using it, get on the wagon my friend it's time to get with the program! Olive oil has vitamin E and antioxidants which will help with dry nails and cracked cuticles.

 

So go ahead eat these amazing SUPERFOODS and keep those nails looking good girl!
